When
you’re having fun you learn very quickly - and seemingly without
effort. We are running a
handful of animation workshops throughout Gloucester over the summer
holiday period for kids
aged 7-11.

Summer Holiday Animation Workshops
This
special course of fun, one-day workshops is designed to teach budding
young animators
how animation works. Using their arts and crafts skills, your child
will start the day by moulding
and drawing their own 2-D and 3-D characters, then learn some great
animation techniques.
Having
captured footage of their animation on video, they will see their working
animation
brought to life on screen, at which point they can record their own
narration, apply special
effects and write and create their own credits.
Animation is about being creative and telling a story. Whatever your
child's interests and
technical ability, a day at one of our workshops will see them turning
their ideas into a
finished, animated short film. The varied stages and processes involved
in creating a
finished animation will see your child learning new skills - and having
fun at the same time!
Following the workshop they will receive their very own DVD showcasing
their animation
alongside those of their fellow film makers - something to show off
to their family and friends!
The DVD is professionally produced with a glossy cover and menu system
- however, please
allow a fortnight for delivery.
Our animation workshops are a great way for any child to get started
in animation, and are a
really hands-on, fun-filled day for kids and trainers alike!

All materials and filmmaking equipment supplied
- Refreshments provided (please bring a packed lunch)
- Learn lots about animation
- Activity-based day, with a choice of Plasticine, card, construction
bricks, magnetic boards
and more to animate.
- Only child-safe materials used - no paint, glue or sharp objects.
One-day
courses take place in Gloucestershire on week days throughout late July
and the whole
of August. Each day runs from approximately 10am to 4:30pm (depending
on the venue).
